B.S. Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University, 2018
Ph.D. Student

I completed my BSc in Bioscience at Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University in 2018. During my junior year, I studied abroad at the University of Florida as a visiting student sponsored by the China Scholarship Council.

I joined the Li Lab in summer 2018 and have been enjoying the cozy environment in the Lab. My current project is to explore the signals between the nucleus and the chloroplast under nitrogen deprivation in the model alga Chlamydomonas reinhardtii; these signals may regulate accumulation of lipids, or triacylglycerol (TAG) specifically. I believe that my passion, determination, and persistence will aid in my investigation of biological mechanisms, which I hope will contribute to our understanding of algal lipid metabolism.

In my free time, I watch movies, visit museums, take photos, and try novel food. I would be happy to share with you with any new taste that I find.
