Ph.D. Zhejiang University, 2018
I did my undergraduate studies at Nanjing Agriculture University from 2009 to 2013. Then I started my postgraduate study in Department of Horticulture, Zhejiang University. I joined the Li Lab after obtaining my PhD in June 2018.
Diatoms, an important group of marine algae, contribute as much as 40% of the organic carbon produced each year in the oceans. Because of a secondary endosymbiosis event, the diatom chloroplast is surrounded by four membranes, as opposed to the two-membraned green plant chloroplast. Now I focus on developing high-throughput genetic tools for diatoms and investigating signal communications between the chloroplast and the nucleus in diatoms.
In my spare time, I love watching movies and playing badminton.
