B.S. Wuhan University, 2017
Ph.D. Student

I obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Biopharmaceutics from Wuhan University in 2017, After one year of research assistant experience, I finally chose the join the Li Lab at the Westlake university for my further research. And now, I am a Ph.D. student majoring in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology, and keep sprinting towards my ideal of scientific research. Fighting!

Compared with other institutions of higher education, the Westlake University is really a young and vibrant university. This is exactly why I am so fascinated by it. I also enjoy the harmonious atmosphere at the Li Lab. One of my on-going projects is to identify the enigmatic isopentenyl diphosphate (IPP) transporter in Chlamydomonas reinhardtii; this alga likely transports IPP from the chloroplast to the cytoplasm for the synthesis of terpenoids because of the lack of canonical mevalonate pathway in cytoplasm. I believe I can overcome the challenges that I will meet and contribute my strengths to explore human’s terra incognita.

For more personal aspect, I love playing badminton and watching cartoons in my spare time for a work-life balance. We now have a team of amateur badminton players. If you have the same hobby, you are welcome to join us!
